Polishing stock exhaust cans

Hey Frank,
Reading your threads on the frame polishing gave me the idea and general procedure on the cans. I'm sure I'll do more, just one piece at a time.... :) I'm thinking swingarm may be next on the list. There are alot of stock aluminum goodies to shine....

The second look seat and tank skins were about $130.

I think this polishing falls into the "Too much work to do for money, but well worth the effort on your own bike" category. It probably took me closer to 4-5 hours per can, it's all in the details. You can really get a mirror like shine with enough effort.

Glad you posted this. It is exactly what I had in mind. Post some pic of the bike with the polished cans on it.

That came out looking very nice. Hard to believe it's the same can.

Nice.....although I like the brushed look,
it's the headers leading to the pipe I'd
like to chrome. I hate that Suzuki black paint, it chips and scratches easily. anyone done this?????
