I have a 2006 LE and want to Powdercoat the wheels the same Pearl White as the bike. Any clues on how or where. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bill----Cheers

free bump for ya! my advice to you is list your location for starters. someone may find a shop relatively closer to avoid shipping to reduce cost.

Remember....when it comes to wheels, you have to press the bearings (4) out prior to delivery to powder coat shop. Remove the valve stems also.

You should prolly look for a local shop......I'm gonna pay $45 per wheel to coat. I guess it would cost that much to ship the wheels each way. Not cost effective for you.

Google it!

You might PM VIC_E55_2001. He deoes powdercoating. I bought a set of powdercoated wheels from him and they are very nicely done

+1....them wheels were SWEEEEEEET. I remember them in the classified section

Thanks everyone for the help. I live in Bellevue, Washington. I will also check with the local powdercoating companies and see if they have done cycle wheels before and if they can match the color.
This is the best site or organization to be a part of. Thanks again,Bill and Cheers

Anybody with an ORANGE busa paint/powder the rims ORANGE ? After reading several topics on this matter, I cannot decide whether to paint or powder my rims, I'll have it done by someone, I have a trusty paint shop nearby, but not sure how easy the orange powder will be to find.

Had mine painted by a friend so I just paid for paint. Never chipped untilled I had the. Tires replaced. Probably the same cost to PC them as it would be to paint. Except, PC em means you will need to replace the seals and bearing. Parts plus labor got a little speedy.

Do the seals have to be taken out with bearings? And then do they need to be replaced before reinstalling after powder coat is done?

Keep in mind that it will be very difficult if not impossible to match the color on your bike. Sometimes it is better to choose a color the complements the body color than trying to match it.

You can use a drift punch to walk out the seals / bearings...label them and put them is zip lock bag...take a pic of the stack order....they come out easy and can be reused unless you are in a hurry and beat them to distortion...now would be a good time to put in the 90 Degree valve stems....
