I am purchasing a hindle full system, and got to talking to the "dealership parking lot crowd",and told them that I was getting a hindle with power com.3 a couple of the guys said "everybody we know that puts one on a busa they have alot of problems with them breaking down.(thier bikes)Have any of you guys had any problems with yours?

Does anyone know if the GiPro gear indicator/tre 2in1 is a good product?
I love my bike, and the last thing I want is to add something that's going to keep me from riding it!!!! Any help would be great!!!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YOU GUYS!!! Sounds like donation time!!!

I had a GEN 3 Brock/Hindle with a PC3 and didn't have any issues with it at all, sometimes you just have to ignore idiots.

I am running a full HMF System with a PC3 and the GIPro. I have no problems with any of it. They are all great products.

Yosh box sux...minimal control points...Taka Box is the way to go....100 control points and nothing to buy...just reflashes your stock ECU.

I'm curious as to where you got your info from?
NP....Ken Wheeler at "Wheelers Performance" northside of town in Robbinsville..near Phillips hotel...on 129 by the Dragon...

We've known each other quite a few years..he did my dyno mapping/tuning and when i got there?...he expressed his sorrow that he didn't get to me sooner to advise me not to get a PC...but i already had.

He explained the taka? (not sure of the spelling) box to me and that he could've saved me the PC bux...told me the difs are PC has about 250 adjust/control points but that the taka boxes 100 points were quite enough to get the job done...by just re-flashing the stock ecu...and that the performance results he gets with the taka are just as good...citing the pc as a bit of over-kill and "Too Many Points to Dial In"...as his dyno can't reflect any performance dif's between that of a pc'ed busa or a busa with a taka tuned, reflashed ecu...y6osh box as i undersatand it is a whole different story as again...from what i understand...the yosh box can only address 3 area's...low, mid and high..and just taking the ecu +5/-5 in those three areas of adjustment.

The thing that made me question the number of adjustments on the Teka is that everything I have read for the Teka only shows 5 different adjustments based on throttle position and nothing really based on rpm. How can there be 100 points to adjust when according to the tuning instructions from Factory Pro the only adjustments are for idle and 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% throttle positions?

From what I have read it does offer a larger range of adjustment from lean to rich over the Yoshi box but their main sales pitch for the Teka is like what you said a PC is over kill "Too Many Points to Dial In" unless you have a highly modified bike. I'm not trying to argue about it, I was just curious if you had some other info that I haven't seen yet.

Custom mapped three bikes today, PCIII is the way to go if you know what you are doing. For those that don't there are other options.

+1

most of the dynotuners I know only have software that supports Dynojet PC's. I've never had a single problem with my PC.

with the TEKA you can not change anything with out the box and good luck finding a tuner that really knows how to use one or will use it correctly

JJ...the numbers were approximations based on area's and ranges of adjustability/tunability...and "loose casual conversation" with Ken Wheeler...he's been in business for quite a few years now and if you're having needs or mechanical issues anywhere's near the dragon?...he's the man to see..and the cool part?..I trust him...he always goes the extra mile fabb'ing up lil doo-dads (like extra brakeline guides loops when he installed my goodridge SS braided lines) and is always "Cost Conscious" FOR his customers/patrons...hence why he expressd his sorrow for me when i told'im i already bought a PCIIIUSB...and according to Ken?...his claim was this..

"When it comes to a mildly modded bike such as a full exhaust upgrade and aftermarket airfilter?..I don't know of any riders that would ever be able to tell (by riding it) wether the bike was custom mapped with a PC or reflashed using the Teka Box as i can achieve the same end dyno results with either...same AF ratios...same peak power outputs...same snappy throttle response..but with the Teka?..it's easier and quicker for me to "get there from here" and far less expensive for you as ya just saved $250-$300 by...NOT...having to shell out for a PC."

he11...after chatting with him i was ready to just remove my newly installed pc, sell it and let Ken reflash my ecu with the TEKA..and i still wish i had.
