Hi everyone, Just got my 07 busa, had an 06 but thats a long story. Already have slip ons and wanted to know what kind of hp/ torque increase I could expect, or if it just evens out the curve, Thanks

I would recommend a PCIII usb (or PCIIIr if u can get it) on even a stock bike. Motorcycles come real lean from the manufacturers for emissions. With slip-ons, small-box mod, a good aftermarket air filter, and even a simple dynojet map you will notice an improvement. A PC of any type is ALWAYS a good starting point for ANY modifications NOW or maybe IN THE FUTURE.

they come real lean huh?
you have proof correct?

Fact; they actuall are only lean where the epa test 2750 rpm the rest is rich this is all due to pin point fuel injection mapping.
Why is the bike rich elsewhere? so when you add filters or pipes you don't burn it up, the manufactures would hate to get a bad rap for this reason.

bottom line is the pc3usb is the way to go so you can add fuel where you need it and subtract fuel where you don't.
and as for slip ons why waste good money.
the weight savings= better handling of a 4-1 is a much better way to go.
plus a 4-1 is cheaper than a set of cans

Even if you do basic mods like slip ons and air filter the bike thinks it is still stock and while you can gain some HP from doing mods without a PC to adjust your mapping you will not get the real benifit from these. Even if you dont dyno it you can still have your A-F% set. I just tested my bike and was running very lean, after adding more fuel the bike runs much better.

The PC3 is a fine product.

From what i've read... you dont need to waste money on an aftermarket air filter... doesnt improve anything...

On a stock motor the stock air filter is ok and wont see much improvement on your HP# by changing it to an aftermarket. Once you get a cam, porting, big jugs and full exhaust IMO the stock filter will cause you to loose HP over a higher flowing aftermarket.

any filter will rob HP even on a stock motor
and I guess you Busas is unique being so lean most stock maps have negitive numbers

From bolt ons

I know slip ons add no power(or close to nothing), I was wondering directly about what the power commander does to a stock bike if anything

When I put one on while my bike was still stock, I noticed the 1st gear jerks on takeoffs vanished and the throttle response became slightly better.

+1.
I JUST installed a PC3 USB on my 03 Busa that I bought in 04 two days ago. I only have Yoshi TRS bolt-ons and K&N air filter. Throttle response and generel "get up and go" are much improved. Combined with the pilot powers i've had on her for about 2 months shes fells like a new bike

I almost want to kick myself for not buying a PC3 sooner but I think riding it stock for about 3 years made me appreciate it more.

Get one, you wont be disappointed.

PCIII with Yoshi slips. Cleared out some jerkiness in lower gear/rpms. Hmmmmm... maybe it added more fuel there... no wait that's a TRE... wait I don't have a TRE...

Seriously, it's not tuned until it's tuned. Money well spent especially if you look to add mod's in the future. Generic map will do you fine. If you go full eshaust (as I am) get a custom map.

I was having problems with back firing after installing my Yosh R3 Bolt On's.  I installed the Power Commander and the back firing is gone.  Sure, the marble mod is cheap and fast, but the power commander makes my bike run so much smoother.  Acceleration is crisper especially in the lower gears.  I am impressed with it and recommend to all whether you have mods or not.
