Power Commander 2

Hi, My friend has a 99 model Black & Grey. He's gone and bought some stuff for it. Yoshimura Cyclone, Power Commander 2(not very sure) and K&Ns.

Anything in particular to watchout for when installing these? Any insight would be helpful.

abhi, does your friend have a Full Exhaust or a bolt on??! If you have a full exhaust I recomend that you tune it up on a dyno... Thats the right way to do it and that the safe way to do it. I would recomend the PCIII compared to PCII, I havent installed mine yet... but thats the general opinion I got from a lot of people. The K&N exhaust is a good add-on, but if you want it to show any performance differences... then you are knowing the wrong door. Its a nice filter, and it will last you the life time of the bike, and you need to clean it lot less... but thats where the benifits end.

Check for clearance after you test fit up the exhaust, don't want it riding on anything. Make sure there are no air leaks after installing the Air cleaner.. (just dbl check all the rubber booty's that tie into the airbox and make sure they haven't slipped off.. Finally, a dyno'd map will work best with your friends PCII. Of course any map made for a similar year of Busa with the same basic mods will suffice until you can get it mapped. Diff in PCII/PCIIIusb very minor with the kinds of mods this bike has. Now if your going to build a dragbike were talking a whole new story then and I would recommend switching to a PCIIIusb.... ks

Thanks guys. But at the moment, no plans of making it into a drag bike. Having too much fun on the open roads.

The Cyclone is a 4 into 1 system. Its been installed. No probs there at the moment.

The K&N's (I have no clue about which model) is also supposedly installed.

Now back to the PC 2, I have no experience with this.

1. Any ideas where/whom I should be looking for the maps?
2. I dont think there is a dyno here where we can get dyno time. Shenoy, do you have any idea?

ok... You have a 4 to1, but how have you installed it without the PCIII

Are you getting the performance intended with out a fule managemnet system

Its just been installed a few days ago. Planning on installing the PC2 tomorrow.

I'd not ridden it properly without the Cyclones anyways. So, dont ask me.

Thanks ks-w. I have done that. But I guess thats for a Busa with the stock setup. Didn't find anything else.

Just need to test it out and see if it works fine with this setup.
