Power Commander Connection

Well, I tried connecting my P3 non-usb to my laptop tonight for the first time a few days ago, and no matter what I did the comp kept saying "power commander not found". I tried using com ports 1 through 4. Any ideas? And yes the bike was running, lights were on the P3, and the cable was connected.

I had the same problem.
make sure the cable is plugged in to the USB. Make sure you hear it pop.
My problem was I had a bad cable. Try swap'n cables.

Does your laptop have a serial connection or are you using an usb-to-serial converter? I have seen problems with some converters.
