i have hot bodies slip ons on my busa does anyone know if i should put a Power Commander on and what it will do for me i dont know much about them or what they do

The 08's have a closed loop system, so a power commander isn't going to help alot. It should map itself.

The Busa 08 fuel control is not controlled by O2-sensor at WOT. If you want maximum power over the RPM range, a Power Commander is recommended. You don't need to have it though.

Yosh full system no air cleaner just for dyno. check out the air fuel ratio. spot on. 181 hp and on a previous pull 108 tq. NO power commander. just the stock closed loop.

Are those snakeskin cowboy boots you have on in that pic ???:laugh:

BTW: Nice lookin' bike...:beerchug:

JohnneyCheese. You must be adding more timming which the close loop will not do? What numbers are you putting down with a PC if I may ask? Do you sell maps? No dyno in my Village.

Just becuase the air/fuel curve with the yosh exhaust and no power commander is very good at 100% throttle does not mean you wouldn't benefit from a power commander.

The "closed loop" only works up to 20% throttle and up to 5500 RPM. It's trying to keep the bike bwtween 14.7:1 and 15.0:1 for best fuel economy and emmisions, not for best power.

Interesting :beerchug: When I installed the PC III (after installing the R-77 system) I was a bit disappointed since I couldn't feel it improved the performance at all. But after dynoing the bike I was more convinced it did some, since the A/F curve was perfect. I have more power around 4 k than your bike, which runs a bit rich there, but apart from this your curve looks absolutely great and it seems as the PC III is not meanful in combination with a full Yosh system.

All I can say is i just placed a Powercommander on my 08, I haven't taken it to the track yet to see what the time are like. However I can feel the difference is Throttle response. It is pulling alot more power on the ground at lower RPMs. I can do roll-on wheelies in 2nd gear now, when I couldn't do that before. PCIII was worth the money, only paid $274.00 for it and shipping was free on morepoweracing.com GONE

Real tuners have tried to tell people that it's needed but some have spread false myths on the OEM setup... :(
