i have a 2009 hayabusa mods include: Power commander PC5, K&N, Voodoo exhaust. this is a daily driver weather permiting (i live in the texas panhandel and weather is very very strange) and i want alot of power but dont want to loose the abilty to go riding for long distances.

How much power is a lot? Stock bike has a lot of power......Get a hp figure in mind, or state what you want the bike to be capable of running (mph or et) and there are lots of people that will suggest ways to achieve your goal.
First thing I would suggest is ditching that pipe and hetting one that makes power not just more noise.
And :welcome: to the .org

well, if you want power, then you've come to the right place because I have ALL THE POWER!:superman:

sorry guys....couldnt resist.

yea man at first i was going for cosmetics but then i started riding the freeways and noticed how much fun it was smokin dudes untill i got smoked then i thought i might need to get some more power. im not to sure what would be a good amount of power for just street racing.

Again, specific goals will help. There will always be somebody with more power than you out there. You say street racing, you talking drags or high speed? You gambling with grown ups, or racing kids? Are you a millionaire or is the budget tight? All these things play a part in what advice folks will give you.

high speeds, got about 3,000 budget (give or take 200), and will be putting money on races.

ECU editor to de-restrict, good exhaust (brock tsukigi, etc.) and some sprockets. Or, stretch your budget by a few hundred and go turbo.

i really wanted to wait to get out of college before i go with a forced air, but i like your ideas about other mods, would any internals help with getting more speed. i will be doing alot of rolling starts anything to help those out?

Internal upgrades will make it more reliable. Cams and higher compression pistons will make more power....

it can be an expensive sickness...if you really want a turbo in due time you might be better off saving up vs. buying an exh system then pulling it off in a year or so. I made that mistake...gears are a noticable change + inexpensive.

Did you get smoked because he had a faster bike or because he was a better rider? something to think on

that is a very good question and i dont blame you for asking but he had a full exhaust, a mapped power commander, sprokets, and a few other things, he jus had a better bike than i.

Gen I or II, Gen I cams, pistons, pipe and tune within your budget and making 200+ at RWHP.

Gen II Pipe, Bazzaz or ECUedit close to 200 RWHP well within, but absolutely capable of 200 MPH

Check out Got-Busa

The point I am trying to drive home is that if the two bikes are somewhere close in performance it will almost always come down to the rider. Also when someone sets a bike up for a certain type of race 1/4 mile, lsr ect. that is what that bike does best. There will always be someone faster or quicker depending on what you and they are set up for.
