Hi All....I will try to explain everything the best I can as I talked with Chris
for a long time...this is very tragic and sad and all we can offer to the family
is our heartfelt prayers as each day brings something new to the little Ava and
the family.
Chris said at this time they are calling it a Melobotic Disorder as she has
high levels of different glucoses as in a diabetic diseased person. This is
something we could all have or never hear of until a certain virus is contracted
and triggers this and that is what has happened to little Ava Chris explained
that it is a mystery to the medical world and the sad thing about all of this is
there is no treatments or cures and can be fatal and crippling as it is to Ava.
She suffered another stroke on Sunday night which has left her unable to
communicate at the present however the doctors said that it could be her body
shutting down to help her get more strength, as they said , this is all a
mystery and they are treating her the best way they know how. On top of all of
this, she also has an enlarged heart (50%) larger than it should be and this is
an entirely different issue from the Melobotic problems and as Chris said
"Aunt Jo, she has been dealt a bad hand of cards, and all we can do is pray
they find her help" She is in CCU and is at present being treated as a
Heart Failure patient as that is what they can work with to help the heart.
I have explained the best I can as it was so hard to listen to a daddy in such
a distress and heartfelt cry for help. It tore me a part! I let him know that
our whole family is praying and offering any help if he needs it. He promised
to keep me posted. They also on top of it all have let the family know that this
could also happen to Bryn. I feel so sorry for them and do pray every time I
think of all of them as to God giving them another chance.
I apologize for my horrible spelling as I wrote everything down as Chris told
me, but I have no clue how it is to be spelled. I did it the way I heard it
said.
Take care and will keep you posted. Love, Jo Aunt Jo, and mom
