Price Increases!!!

Can anyone tell me how Suzuki can justify a 1 to 2 thousand dollar increase in a price of a motorcycle every year? The 2010 Hayabusa is the same as the 2008-09 models (other that color & decals). ???

They are going to sell less so they are trying to make the money up somewhere... glad I have mine. Maybe that will help with resale value..

That is very easy to answer. Your US DOLLAR lost 19% of it's value in 2009.

When the government prints money that we don't have the result is a deflated dollar.

The price of the new busa is virtually the same, it's the devaluation of the dollar in your pocket that's the culprit. If you don't like the idea of your dollar being degraded, be sure to vote in November! It's your only recourse.

are you sure you're not looking at the canadian models? there havent been any 2010 busa's released in the states yet and the website that I found with them on it has canadian pricing which is a couple grand higher.???

Bought my 08 new in May 09, $10600 out the door. The 09 next to it was $13299 Before tax, tags, title,so add about another $600 or so. $2400 for a new color, yeah right.
Glad I got mine when I did too.

I got my 09 new in june of 09, a month after you got yours and i got it for 11,500 OTD.

Yeah, varies depending on where you are. I could have probably found mine cheaper, but it was convinient, and it was the best price within a 4 hr drive. $11500 for yours was cheap then, and still now where I live.
Regardless, it's a shame the prices are going so high, but I agree that it's the economy. Again, glad I got it when i did.

Add on top of that slack demand and normal inflation?.... surprising that the increase was as mall as it was..

I'm not sure, but it seems to vary depending on where you live. I saw lots of 09 Busas online(owned, not for sale)months before they got to me. They where all in CA, I'm in VA.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to be the case year after year.
