Just 57 years old.

He was a very talented musician.

very young age and a super talented artist...left behind enough unreleased music to release a new album every year for the next 100 years is what i hear. You know the thing about prince, i cant recall every reading about him being in trouble with the law, rehab, etc. Unlike the vast majority of other "stars". RIP Prince...

aside from the other 40 plus instruments he mastered and the fact that he completely owned every stage he walked on, He was a Humanitarian of epic proportions.
He was a Jehovah's witness and was not able to speak publicly of his charity work, but me let tell you it blows my mind how gracious and good this man was! And while 70%percent of the music
he has produced has not yet been released, it is said to generate hundreds of millions of dollars of which I would bet will continue to fund his good will. God's speed Prince!

def a living legend but no one has really talked about him for 10-20 years it seems. too bad he had to die to get anyones attention smh

Seems it's all to often that many many people only come back into the spot light at the time of their death.

Interesting how much more celebrity deaths seem to affect people in the technology age. Not trying to be callous here, but there's at least one a month now that becomes the thing to talk about.

Guys Prince never went away. He played sold out concerts for the last 2 decade without even dropping an album. In the black & brown community he is revered as a musical god by all but the youngest, up there with the Jacksons. The reason he has not been in the Pop Spotlight was his long fight with his record company over his publishing. Once that was over he just didn't go for the Pop charts anymore. What's really sad is the toll being this good takes on a person. Prince had a bad hip and back issues and was hooked on pain meds (did not want to do the hip replacement because his religion forbid transfusions). Played his last concert weeks before he died and had to be carried to the plane afterwards.

Im sorry but you're so wrong about that. This guy has been selling out shows, been all over the news speaking out against the government and on conspiracy theories etc. and writing music for other top artist. Hes been very relevant.

He left enough recorded music behind to release a full album every month for the next century. Still can't quite believe he is gone.

if u say so. haven't heard his name in many years till he died. speaking out against the government and conspiracy theories? lmao..... and u wonder why no one has been taking him seriously

Speaking for yourself surely. I "dont wonder why". Numbers dont lie. And the topics he was speaking on were chemtrails, 9-11, goverment one world order, drinking water, politics in general. Things that are very relevant and important to many people. All of this adding to the sold out concerts up until his death. Numbers are facts and opinions are...well just opinions.

I will quote Gene Simmons.....
"I think Prince was heads, hands and feet about all the rest of them," Simmons continued. "I thought he left [Michael] Jackson in the dust. Prince was way beyond that. But how pathetic that he killed himself. Don't kid yourself, that's what he did. Slowly, I'll grant you … but that's what drugs and alcohol is: a slow death."
