hey guys, I have been a long time reader and 1 year rider. I got my busa and had nothing but problems, need some real advice from fellow riders, @ 500 miles had tranny rebuilt by dealer due to no 5th gear, same @ 750 miles, and @ 1000, and 2 more times . all paid by manufaturer. now after 5 rebuild I live in ny and had motor lose all anitfreeze on first test run under 30 mph, this thing has been fun when it runs but nothing but a lemon, I really need help, suzuki will pay for all probs, got free 2 year warn., but still is it worth keeping is what I want to know, thanks

My opinion is have them lemon law it and give you another one .

See if you can get them to just replace the entire engine. That would save them money in the long run.

Maybe not but you make enough of a stink and they should replace it . how would you feel about it . Would you trust it to go from NY to NC I wouldnt be comfortable with it . i want a bike i can ride and not only back and forth to the dealer for repairs . most stealerships will make good on it .

Yeah.. I would pursue the whole lemon thing.. even if there isnt a current law, pursue it.

That just isnt right nor is it normal..

If I were in your shoes I would be having a real bad taste in my mouth about Busa's, suzuki etc.. someone needs to make it right, either the dealership or Suzuki..

I thought there was like a federal lemon law or something?

thanks guys, I will try to get the mtr, rebuilt and see what happens, by the way for everyone out there I found out for sure the is a new 08 coming, was suppose to be out in 07, but did not dominate the zx14 in everything so they held back 1 more year, this is true, saw everything from dealer on friday, specs but no pic, it is still the busa name

thanks guys, no bike lemon law in ny or fed, only auto, thanks for fed idea, never checked that out, yeah I drove busa's before buying mine, and owned a 600 gsxr before no probs, think I just got screwed, by the way there is a brand new busa for 08 it is <1400>1500 saw specs on friday from dealer, the new one was suppose to release in 07 but was too close to zx14, this one is suppose to hit 1/4 mile in the high 8's, 07 was only a lil better than the older busas, did not have any pics but the busa name is still alive

Hayabusas are reliable as hell! Its a shame you're having such problems. Lamb has no advice, just wishing you luck! GOOD LUCK!

A little late on this thread, but the only thing that should be changed is the people working on it. Just my opnion.
