Problems with tail light

My tail light goes out when I accelerate. It can also go out when I pull the throttle while standind and idling. I was told it was the battery, but I think its something else. The problem is what. Can anyone come up something. THANKS!

Only thing I can think of is a loose connection, engine vibration causing it to short. ???

I'd try tracing your taillight wiring harness, I had the same exact problem with one of my rear turn signals.....it turned out that the splice in the connection was very loose so the slightest movement caused it to turn on and off. I put a new connection on and it fixed the problem, hopefully this helps!
