First off, its good to be a member of the Org, glad i found this place and have found lots of useful information.

Secondly, i am looking to possibly switch maps on my Busa, it currently is mapped for the mods to the bike, but the map was done a few years ago before i purchased the bike. Below are a list of engine modifications.

2003 Silver/Grey 20,800 Miles (2,500 on engine work)

1397 Big Bore Kit
J.E. Flat Top Pistons (84mm)
.395 Intake Cam (Unsure of Cam Degree)
.345 Exhaust Cam (Unsure of Cam Degree)
Adjustable Cam Sprockets
Polished/Ported Heads (HD Springs)
Power Commander IIIr
K&N Oil/Air Filter
CR10EK Plugs
Small Airbox Mod
Clutch Mod
16/40 Gearing
Stock Exhaust

Thats the basic rundown, sadly with all those mods that allow it to breathe i still have the restrictive stock exhaust, which i should be purchasing a new full system soon. Aside from that, this is my daily driver and i always run it with 91 Octane (Non-Ethanol) Gas. The bike currently runs great, pulls strong (have not taken to the strip yet). My only purpose for experimenting with other maps is the fact that i feel it runs rich. Fairly strong smell of fuel coming from the exhaust. I have read that they need to run fatter with the bigger bore, but i am getting fairly poor gas mileage on the highway/street. Also, is there anything i am missing with this PC3r related to timing? I know it adjusts fuel, but i believe this model has some timing adjustments as well?

I have not had a chance to upload my current map and will do so soon.

Any starting points or advice i would really appreciate.

Thanks for your time.

what no work to the fuel system??
as for needing more fuel with a bigbore, that is untrue. it need to be map period.
but I would do something with the fuel system before I had it mapped

Thanks for the reply Cheese, i am not sure if the fuel system has been touched or not, as it was not stated on the engine work receipts i received when i purchased the bike. I would have to pull the injectors and see if they were stock or not.

Still have not had a chance to hook the pc3 up and screenshot the current map. But as far as doing something with the Fule system is concerned, do you recommend a new pump(higher pressure)/rail and injectors, just a rail and injectors or just s2000 or similar injectors?

Thanks

with that map you will max out injectors .
either better pump or more pressure or bigger injectors
and you still will need to get it mapped

Yea, i do get the F1 light at high rpm under load, when i assume injectors are maxed. All in all how does that map look? Does it look like someone just threw it together or does it look like someone actually did some tuning?

Also Cheese, are you familiar with a "Harry Jr's Automotive" in Longview, Texas?

Thanks
