Frank, no problem with the help. did you ever find out what was the problem? I have to tell everyone that i was very disapointed with the street racing deal at the steak and shake saturday night. there was none that i seen, and i was there till 3:00 a.m. and didnt see anything but talk. If anyone goes to the atco race in september, be sure to go to philly. there will be no bullcrap there.
I seen a ton of busa's there and none of them running good numbers, but i did see them whipping up on the ZX12 though.

No.... haven't had a break from the phone yet to any checking as to why the fan never came on.
Of coarse there was no need for a fan at the track but I think I'm going to put a manual switch on it so I can control when it's off or on.

Late sunday at the end of the event Marty Kane(dragbike.com) informed Me that I had Won the Trophy for "Best looking Bike" of the Event.

He said that he would be posting some pics & stuff sometime in the next few days on his site.
(I'll post a link after it gets posted)

That was a good way to end My long weekend since I had been testing/racing for 5 straight days!

On W-day I started out testing at another local track trying to get My clutch setup dialed in.
But when I got to I.R.P on thursday with that package, I had problems with the bike wanting to stand straight up off the line.

I worked on the clutch & suspenion setup's all day and finally started feeling good about the direction I was going.

But friday rolled around and I had to start all over because they wont let the Street ET class run in the groove. You have to start in the middle where nobody else runs.

After trying a number of different combonations, I could only manage a best 60ft time of a 1.60. That was for the entire time I was at Prostar.
1.60's short times for a bike with the shootout Micky/T and a swingarm Suc's!

I think most of the problem was the Rider, Me, Myself.

It was hard to dial Myself into the bike because I only had 1 pass on friday, 1 pass on saturday before eliminations started.

It was during eliminations on sunday that I finally saw a 1.60. Everything else was mid to upper 1.60's short times.

Best pass at I.R.P was:

9.27@153.5mph 1/4 mile
6.07@124mph 1/8th mile
1.60 60ft

The bike has 8.90's written all over it with a 1.40's 60ft.
I just haven't made it there yet.

As soon as I break into the 8's on motor, I putting Nitrous on.
I talked with a lot people about nitrous and they all felt that 80 to 100hp spray should get the bike to around 8.20's

I personally wont spray anymore then a 100hp with the stock rods. Starting in november, I'll change the rods and add 5mm to the crank.
Jay at APE felt that I wouldn't have any problems with spraying the #'s I want to with their crank.(here goes another round of R&D)

I dropped out in the 3rd round on sunday due to breaking out.
I had to use all the insurance I had but the guy that beat Me (at least it was a Busa) had a .515 reaction time. (.500 is a perfect light)
I crossed the line before him but I broke out.

I really enjoyed getting to meet, and spend time with other members from this site!!

I can't remeber all the screen names.

Saturday night I decide to My bike out on the street and watch the street racing. On My way there My fan quit working. Stop light to stop light wont last long on a 1360 motor with no fan working. Sure enough... I blew the lid off the overflow tank and lost coolant. (I can't believe I didn't burn My legs!)

If it wasn't for some other Org members flowing Me in a van, I would've been screwed!

Dragabusa(I hope that screen name is right!) and his friends saved My asss.
They sat with Me untill My bike cooled down and they also just happened to have some water with them that really helped My situation out!

Thanks Guy's!!!!!

I could really fill this post up stories about each Org member that I met but You all should know that it was GREAT meeting you in every way! :)

Time to unload the trailer.

Way to go Frank. I hope you can get in the 8's because you worked hard enough to be there. I'm still in the learning stages at the track with the Busa (4 runs) but I hope to see an 8.99 pass also if I can get the elusive 1.45 60' time. I have to play with the gearing and suspension to be totally dialed in because it's a bit tougher when you're 215 lbs. but this thing is either gonna go or blow!

Frank - Have you tried a little more spring pressure and a little less weight in your lockup yet? I know our clutch setups are 100% opposite but I usually 60' high 1.40's or real low 1.50's and I'm 60lbs heavier if I recall...

You know I'm going to try everything real soon.

The nitrous is coming but I want to 1.40's short time it first.

It better happen quick because I'm ready to start programing a Schnitz Progressive Box!
