puig dbl bbl rubber string thing??

hi all,

i just got the clear puig dbl bbl screen. what is the clear rubberish string that came with the screen for? at first i thought it was to finish off the edge of the screen , but then i went to their web site and i didn't see it installed on their pic of the busa.
also one other thing, the optics suck. i know i normaly wont be full tuck looking through it but with all the hype about the puig i thought it would at least be as clear as oem.?!

i have a puig dark smoke raceing screen and the string you speak of is to cover up the edges,i put it on,gives it that finshed look
