I was on my way to a Memorial Service Sunday morning for a fellow rider and friend of mine that passed away last Sunday (Age 58, Heart stopped, his wife found him dead at the kitchen table...). SUCKS... He was one of the good guys.

Anyway, I am running a little late and boogying right along. The road is a two lane that carries 50 MPH. I am on a long uphill where they split the lane into two so the trucks can move over and not F-up the rest of the traffic. I am coming up on the last two vehicles in the right lane and nearing the top of the hill where the lane ends. I goose it to make it past and wind up on the wrong side of the double yellow lines for about 100 feet doing say 95ish... I come around the last car, crest the hill and there are two State/DOT cops in the breakdown lane, they already have 2 people pulled over and I just grabbed there attention big time, I see their heads snap around. Fugggggg. I start downshifting like a madman to scrub off some speed and just flip on the blinker and pull over and stop at the first car, The other one was already jogging for his car to start the chase. The officer says "You giving up that easy? On a bright red crotch rocket too... Slow down and get the hell out of here."

Man that will never happen again...

So let me get this straight, you're complaining?

No, not complaining, I just never "WIN" anything, my luck sucks, $hit rolls downhill and I live at the bottom of the hill...

You're right, that will "probably" never happen again. Count your blessings and be careful...

Sorry. I guess I read it wrong. Any warning in lieu of paper, no matter how harsh and unprofessional, is a win in my book.

Maybe your luck is changing!

Running makes no sense.  Guy from MI died after wrecking his bike while running from the state troops.  Ticket seems better than death.

Here is the story from the news site
MICHIGAN MAN DIES WHEN EJECTED FROM HIS MOTORCYCLE

27-year old James Matthew Switkowski of Chesterfield Michigan was killed after he failed to negotiate a curve at the Bluelick Road exit off of southbound Intersate 75.

After exiting the highway, his motorcycle hit the concrete bridge embankment and he was ejected over the side of the bridge, landing in the grassy field 35 feet below.

Switkowski had been previously chased by two State Highway Patrolmen for traveling at speeds topping 100-miles per hour.

Neither trooper was in pursuit of him when the crash occurred.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

that is for sure..

Pulling over at once, taking off your helmet, being polite to the LEO (they are just doing their job) is ALWAYS the best policy I think. I have been pulled over two times on the busa, net result =NO TICKET. When you do that on a busa you show alot of respect because the officer knows you could outrun them if you wanted to.
