Pulling the Gen II radiator

Do I have to remove the upper fairing to get it out? Or just the side fairings? I haven't got to look at it but I have to get it out this weekend.

Never done it, but I'm gonna guess side fairing or fairings only. Can't see you having to pull the nose.

The side fairing should be good enough to get the radiator out. I have had the sides off several times and I cannot see the front cowl needing to come off.

Just the sides. I've done mine twice now. Stupid rocks...Do yourself a favor and get a set of radiator/oil cooler guards.

Yeah, but its not worth fighting it out. The sides aren't that hard to pull. When I did it the 1st time I only pulled the right side. Just pull them both and leave the nose alone.

If you pull both the sides its completely exposed and will take 5 mins to pull. 2 bolts on the top and 1 on the bottom, plus your hoses and reservoir bottle, and 2 fan plugs.

Pull both sides and it will come out rather easily. You could probably do it with just the right side but for no mor trouble thean removing the left side I would take it off to.

Definately get urself a cable operates hose clamp tool. Makes getting those spring steel clamps a piece of cake.

Where did you buy the guards and how much? I can only find the radiator guard and not the oil cooler guard with it, and the radiator guard alone is $75!!!
