I kind of knew that would be somebodies suggestion.(dyno)

If I were producing pipes to the aftermarket and I wanted My product to be on top you can bet I would have maps made for fuel, hp and what ever else!

But I guess all the pipe manufactures rely on D-J to come up with something to help sale the power commander?

It's to damn sad that guy's have well over $10,000 invested in their bikes and not even close to getting a FULL potential out of them?!

How many of us out here want the most out of our bikes for what we have in them?

JeffW, you should get a D-J 250 and go on tour around the U.S.

Once guy's learned how much performance they were missing out on...I'm sure you could make some seriuos cash.

I have a local friend with a 2000 Busa that only has a micron pipe, 1 tooth front, swingarm, airshifter & pw2.(no airbox mod)

4 weeks ago he ran some impressive #'s before we put the pw2 on his bike.(9.40's)

Ok now we install the pw2 with the 003 micron map which should be the best setup for his bike right?

WRONG!

We tried a total of 3 different Dyno-Jet maps and the #'s were always in the 9.80's range. Made a total of 30 passes with these maps.

Unhooked the pw2 and went a 9.72 then 9.63 and then a 9.50.

Dyno-Jet Needs get serious about their available maps!

I'm a firm believer in the pw2's....But I don't have much to say about Dyno-Jet and their available maps...!

The use of these DJ supplied maps is a joke. It's like using a shotgun for a sniper rifle (sure it's a gun so it must be close right?)

Each and every bike made will require a different map. Even two stock bikes from the dealer show room floor will require a different map.

You can never make a map that will make all people happy, I'm really shocked that DJ even puts a map out there for people to use (for the very reason you state).

You should also note that these maps are created to provide the best fuel curve, *NOT* the most HP. If you want the most HP, it's time to go to a DJ tuning center and put your bike under load.
