Question for oRgsters using iPad

Was thinking of trying tapatalk until I saw Captain's warning, but now....

Has anybody figured out how to attach a photo to a forum post using the iPad? I've given up trying.

??? Couldn't tell you either, that's why I went and bought tapatalk was to be able to post using the ipad. I'd be curious to see if there is a solution also. My luck probably not.

I can post ok from my iPad without tapatalk or anything else. Safari works fine. I just can't attach a photo using the ipad.

I use the iPad for web surfing... Just easy then using the PC, anyways I down load the photo to my photo bucket account then copy the code from there to post it on the org. Org not very friendly to iPad lol.

Well, one problem solved, but Droid ain't no IOS, not by a long shot. The hardware ain't there either. But certainly coming up fast in the world.

BTW, what's that antenna-looking thingy?

Look right above the keyboard and you see a message that says advanced options. Use that!

Hmmmmmm....maybe I couldn't get it to do it before tapatalk. ??? Oh well goes to show how well I pay attention. I remember doing it now. Thanks Guns, must just be the old age catching up.

There's no way to upload or download through Apple's iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod), unless you go through an App, like Tapatalk.

I have been asked for a detailed how-to so here goes:

Once you get into a reply there is a small ribbon at the top of the keyboard that says open advanced options


Open that up and you will see this screen:


You have some options but if the picture is on the camera role then select the first option and select the picture that you want:




Then select to upload to this forum:



At this point you can select the size of the file and I always use the smaller because of upload speed. Once this is done it will upload to the bottom of the screen to "manage attachments".




Open the file you want and select "inline" to drop the picture into the thread.



Hit send when you are all done!
