Question please help. asap

I just bought a 2004 Hayabusa. There is a light that is blinking on my guage panal. I believe the light s says FI or FL. What is this light for?

that is not a good sign....The FI light usually only lights up when something is wrong....

Immediately you need to have the codes checked to find out if there is something wrong.

First off though disconnect the battery for an hour or so...not sure how long the flash memory is stored in the bike but an hour or so should do it. That will reset the computer.. Then reconnect and start bike and if the light comes back on have it checked

Have you done any mods lately or was the light already on when you bought it??

The FI light comes on when there is a problem with your fuel injection system. If it doesn't go away have it checked out quick.

I just remapped the power commander. Maybe thats what triggered it off. It only came on for about 20 seconds and then went back off. I'll keep my eye on it and watch. What does the FI stand for?

That could very well do it if the map isnt good

Ok, I just took the bike down the road the light still has not come back on. Thanks guys for the information. I may hook the lap top back up to the bike this week and try another map.
