Ok first off, every since I have owned my bike the front rotors have drug all the time. I cant roll the bike without hearing the front brakes dragging. I was told there are aftermarket pads on it so I was wondering if I should replace the pads when i put my new tires on. Or if its normal.

Next Im pretty set on a 43tooth rear sprocket and have one picked out, its a 530 steel rear sprocket for about 40 bucks. Im hoping its a good deal and will run with my old chain. what do yall think?

And finally how big of a deal is it to run a 43tooth with no spedo healer? Im really not sure I need it but dont know... ???

Thanks for the help!!!

Not sure about the brake issue, disk brakes do drag a little to keep the braking surface clean, never ran a 43 rear so I can't tell ya, but Charles at street and track can. Normally you change the chain and both sprockets, but if the bike has low mileage you should be alright. You can check your speed using a GPS. The Gen I had a 7% error anyway. The 43 will make the bike get up and go better ( not that it needs that ) but you will lose top end speed. Hope you like it.

The 43 will work fine with your stock length chain...your speedo error is gonna be off more than the stock 7%, more like 13% with the gear change...no big deal though. At a true 75 mph on GPS you will be turning 300 rpm more with the 43 vs. the stock 40 rear. You do also lose a little top speed, but do you really need to do 186? You'll get to 170+ with the 43 MUCH faster than the 40 and I STRONGLY recommend it for the fun factor

My brakes have always made a slight dragging sound (on all my bikes), particularly with aftermarket pads.
