Quicker spool time

So I was looking at the benefits to a dual inlet (dual scroll) no-oil, air foil bearing turbo anyone consider using one of these?

What about an e-turbo? (Electric assisted turbo)?

It would spin to full boost alot sooner/quicker.... just a thought...

Somebody will respond ... mine's totally stock, so I'm worthless. But you get a free *BUMP* ....

I have seen the twin entry turbos used but they were fairly large, not your standard 300 hp turbo. I'm not sure what would be gained by the other two that you mentioned.

as for gains the oil-free turbo would let you oil live longer (less chance of cooking). Also would mean than no oil lines need to be run and you don't have to worry about the mounted height of the turbo. Having the dual entry would increase spool time so you could be at full boost lower in the revs.

The e-turbo seems interesting only because it assists the turbo during spool up which also loweers the point of full boost. I don't know how much electrical power something like that wold need though.

I think it would be pretty nice to have the benefits of a bigger turbo AND be able to get to full boost by 5k...
