"Likely in its final year of production (a new 'Busa is a hot rumor), Suzuki's GSX1300R is arguably the all-around big-bore sportbike to have. Smooth, comfortable, durable and blindingly fast (ours went 189 mph), the Hay Bus does nearly everything well."

I read that also... where the heck do those guys get "hay bus" from? I've never heard anybody but them call it that.. and they always refer to it as that..

"hey bus!" maybe?

I don't get it.

Final year of production

yup...drop 100lbs / bigger injectors / 1200 with a point up in compression / and make the ram air REALLY work....

it would be a great new Busa............is that burgers I smell on the foreman grill or did the kawi 1400 just shid itself?

Final year of production my arse. The popularity of this bike over the past 2-3 years has exploded. The company is there to make money and as long as the busa is doing just that for them it aint going anywhere. Now a MAKEOVER I see coming very soon.

Umm, Folks? What the article is saying is it is VERY likely to be the LAST year of the CURRENT Busa production. As in, come 2007, we can expect to see a brand new one. Which is good.... Not bad...

Suzuki has been sitting on their hands for 7 years, it's time for a makeover...

My wish list:

heavier sprung
slightly shorter wheelbase
slightly lighter
more power
shorter reach to the handlebars
a fender that just unbolts like on the GSX-R1000 to make modding easy.
a painted undertail like on the GSX-R1000
Integrated turn signals

I don't get it...most of what you guys are asking for is sorta "RR Liter Bike'ish" to me...I love my busa "For What It Is" therefore I'm not left wanting "For What It Isn't"...I lost a good chunk of weight going to a full system aftermarket exhaust...about 30lbs lighter.....but I ain't certain I'd want my busa to lose a full 100lbs as...it may not be as stable at high speeds nor as "planted feeling" during windy days S/T'ing on the superslabs...then again?.....I live in florida...where the majority of roadways are long, straight, flat and fast...as this is..."BusaLand".

A lighter weigh? for busa? Naaaah, busa, is not a liter bike, nor a track bike...In order to own a highway, we need a decent weigh, for stability... not to have those airborn kind of jumpy feelings...
