I'm looking for a good pair of boots for the street and track. Has anybody tried the new Rocket Speedmaster 2.0

A close friend ordered them, and he returned them cause he thought they were crappy. LOL

We both bought alpinestars SMX Plus's. I Love these boots. I have also crash tested them at around 100 and they held up great, and protected me well. They are still good for a few more crashes.

I give my full recommendations to SMX plus.

FWIW, I looked at around 20 diff. pair of boots recently. I was set on the Alpinestars SMX-4 (the Plus isn't made big enough for me), but after reading a lot of reviews on comfort and break-in that said the ASs have a stiffer toe/build I decided to go back to the Sidi B-2, my first choice....and they make them big enough for my 13 foot.

B-2s on order.

Just big enough to be a pain in the arse.

I heard for every complete set of shoes manufactured multitude of 8-12s they only make one pair of 13s.

I originally wanted the Alpinestars, but they were very stiff when I tried them on...yes I know they were new. But everyone I talked to who had experienced Alpines said the Sidis were more comfortable and forgiving.

JMHO.

I have the Joe Rocket GPX boots=JUNK
Have 'em just to be track legal. otherwise they're of cheap construction but feel a little too comfy.

I'm looking towards getting some Sidi's or Alpinestars after the holidays.

Only thing I like from Joe Rocket are their full leathers and gloves. That's about it though.
