Radiator leak on my busa after new exhaust install

Hi everyone!
Yesterday I installed a new Akrapovic full system and some other accessories to my new busa which stands on 2k km. To do a clean job and not to destroy radiator unit, they removed it. After everything is done they put all back together. I noticed some liquid on the ground leaked from motorcycle when I stopped for a diner. But was no longer leaking at that moment. When I talked with he mechanic he said they put extra antifreeze so it may be normal and adviced me for further inspection later. When I arrived home it was leaking drop by drop faster and soon enough all antifreeze was removed from the reservoir. I'm not sure why was it caused. I made around 100km distance after mechanic and all the way engine heat gauge was normal.

Mechanic came and we solved the problem. But again we had to remove covers and so on. We found out that main radiator hose clips loosened a bit. We tried few times but clips was not doing the job so we put another clips from supplies store. İt looks funny but does the job. Now it stopped leaking.

Can I just say….. radiators clips DO NOT loosen up by themselves.
The clips were either damaged when tightening or just plainly left loose.
Glad to see it’s sorted out now.

I don't think he did it on purpose. I can say he is a good mechanic. He came long way to fix it and we tried couple times with original clips but it continued leaking after heat increases. He could either cut some of the hose and install original clips since the part which connects radiatior got bigger or just put new old type clips. So he chose 2nd way. He found new clips on Sunday which is not easy in my location. He didn't charge me any money and spent his Sunday (off day) coming 90km away from city center for me. I'm just happy we finally solved it. The covers of motorcycle got some scratches already 2 days putting on and off few times. Late but thinking of getting PPF after paint correction

Great to hear that but still for few more days keep an eye on leakages.Engine oil and coolant level are of utmost importance when it comes to engine safety.

So good to hear the mechanic was conscientious about your bike being 100% fixed . . he went out of his way, a good man.
