I think I want to do some preventative maintenance on the bike...
OEM radiators are like $900, ok whatever, but are there better replacements at the same cost? Looked all over fleabay and many seem to be trash for $100 or less.

Do you have a rad guard on? I haven't fitted one yet but I will soon. That and replace the coolant.

Have you looked through All the Gen2 years on Partzilla?
For some strange reason, there can be dramatic price differences across the years, and on the identical part.
I havn't looked at Gen2 radiators, but I have seen this on several bikes over the years.

Do you have a rad guard on? I haven't fitted one yet but I will soon. That and replace the coolant.

I don't have a radiator guard

Just 30k miles of debris from the tire. The guard does a nice job of making it look pretty.

yeah, those cheap ebay ones are usually garbage. learned that the hard way.

RRG in the UK
excellent fit and finish radiator guards, and good prices too.
I have used them a few times.
They come with a roll of ss safety wire as well, but I think the radiator guard would stay in place without it.
Put the guard into each side, push the center, and it snaps up against the radiator.

I ordered a R&G Racing Radiator Guard Titanium, Can't imagine it's actually made from that? But perhaps, the HP CORSE SP-1 Titanium Exhaust I flitted to my T7 was. Will report back.

New double bubble screen on the way too. It's all happening, finally. After adding the tank scratch pad and pulling off the 3 factory tank labels I washed it and gave it a first polish. As we can clearly see, the sidestand mod hasn't been done yet! Bike's facing uphill here. One thing I miss from the old bike is the bagster tank cover, it was very grippy and now I find my knees sliding forward on heavy braking. I might have to add some side pads? I wouldn't put a bagster on this color though. I don't think...
