Hi. They look nice. How are the roads where you live? Some people have had good luck with CF wheels and some have not. I have talked to DME about CF wheel they told me thst they have broken them. They are not on my bike and never will be. I have Marvic 17x3.5 front and 17x6.75 on the rear. I am getting ready to paint it

It is another step towards the best handling Busa you can put together . Sure , you will need to look at other areas like suspension upgrade etc., to make it that bike I am thinking your after . Hi. Yes DME has 600 to 800 + HP bikes they have also ran in to the 5sec 1/4 mile like Chris Moor has and Willaford have. As you all know street legal no bar bikes. And no that is a steel rotor I do have an aluminum also Eric mabe up the mount for the speed sensor so I now will have front wheel and rear wheel spedos. Tjat is so I will know how fast the rear wheel is spinning compaired to the front and no I do not want a 150 or 200 or a 250MPH wheelie. Erick when he went 264 MPH his rear weel speed was 310 that is why my gearing is for 315 to 320.If you are happy with your local ride road conditions , and not looking at massive power application , the carbon wheel will be fine , with due care .
I believe incidents can occur with big power , Like @michael parris heuberger mentions , DME have experienced cases of failure , but are they talking road incidents and or 600bhp+ bikes like Mikes build ? I see Mike is running what looks to me to be a aluminum rear rotor.... also would not be recommended for street .
I think if your plan is still the same as you originally envisioned and mentioned , the wheels will cope well with that power level , and your bike will be on the way to being that rare very special build , that also handles well .
Well , that is a great rear disc then , nice job on the cut out , so still very light by the looks . Yes I'm definitely following advice you guys have some good ideas. And I'm gonna be trying some new pieces out like ALIF top clamps and Carbon Airbox. Trying to get her as light as possible and naturally aspirated while still looking close to stock.I for one am truly looking forward to your build BigBoy , you are listening to advice and selecting very nice pieces , your Busa will be amazing . I can recommend these KFactory billet units I ran on my ex BusaWhat you really need is some carbon wheels and billet links mate.
So what is the actual weight savings over the stock airbox? Also I'm planning on heat wrapping my airbox and pipes? Any tips guys?
