My wife's SV650, my son's SV1000, and my Busa- All had alot of slop at the shifter(not so much on the Busa). The SV650 stock bushing was a thin split-sleeve piece of plastic! & the shifter was a floppy p.o.s. The SV1000 has a folding aftermarket shifter & its bushing was a piece of steel conduit! Both were super sloppy. I had bronze bushings installed in both of them & eliminated all the slop. The SV650 & Busa linkage was a little loose at the balljoints, so they were replaced w/greasable heim joints. Add some aftermarket footpegs(Busa) & now all 3 bikes shift amazing!
