just curious before i make a huge mistake, im a painter at a body shop in flintstone, ga. and was wondering ( no experience on painting bikes ) if there was a certain kind of paint or clear coat made for bikes. my buddy sorta laid mine down and that kinda gave me an excuse to fix it up and change the color a little to a black pearl metalic.

(GMbusa @ Jul. 24 2007,23:56) No special paint required.  Prep and paint.

and if I may make the suggestion the bright colors get more compliments from girls.

But I always loved an all black busa.

i figured just a regular base and clear would work, i was just afraid not having any experience painting plastics and all and then totally screwing myself over. its in the shop now getting a new chain and sprockets and a few other parts that broke off when my buddy laid it down. the bad thing about a triumph it takes forever and a day for the parts to get here, ive been having to drive my gas hog 87 bronco everywhere! but i will post pics when i get it back of what the bike looks like now with part of the minor damage on it and ill post more after i re paint it and do all my fabrications.
