Hey dudes hate to bring bad news but just had a friend of mine die on his bike.He was pulling into a parking lot and hit a spot of oil.He went down and hit the left side of his head and gone.He was only doing 15-20mph.He had on a cheezy helmet.Skull cap.He was a very good friend and was a father of two kids.Keep sharp and use your gear.I guess when its your time its your time.

Bad news alright - especially when it could have been so easily prevented with proper gear. Some just don't get it - until it's too late.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I went down last year on my TL1000R. I had on a full face Shoei. I never felt my head the ground, but when I removed the helmet, there were two serious scrapes of the side and back. That would have busted me up if I had on a half helmet or none at all. Be safe everybody. Soja1

sorry here to, feel the worse about the kids. where are you located? maybe some of us can attend. or maybe we can put something togeather for the family! i to put my busa down. never mentioned it because it's kind of imbarusing.i've been told that i was the first to put a busa down.april 25th.i did mine going 120mph at the dragstrip right after i shifted into 2nd gear.we tried to dial the suspension in on this pass, making it to stiff in the front.when i shifted from 1st to 2nd the bike got into a very scarry wobble.not sure if it was the susp. or maybe the steering damp. maybe bearing loose in steering head? this is why i started on my upgrade program so soon! otherwise i would have waited till fall... don't forget to return info about your friend.

Sorry about the loss, Its one thing to hear about it, but its another to know the person.

And frank, you werent the frist, I think I was. April 12th. clip a car on my way to work monday morning. I had the bike for 36hrs. I was changing lanes and clipped the brake light of an SUV. I got high sided onto the shoulder.

hi there, well first my deepest regrets for what happened there, just terrible.
The reason I'm writting, I'm a beginner on my first bike (Hayabusa), and I'm doing my best to enjoy it and not scratch me or her.
I'm doing great, so far, though I encourage you guys not to keep for yourself any accident or similar things you had!, as there's a lot to learn for guys like me from such things. I know it might be hard to view the instructive parts in some moments, but they are greatly helpful and gives a clear touch of the riding reality.

My sincere condolences also, Man. Everyone should remember not to just say, "But it won't happen to me". It could, through no fault of your own. Sometimes, when your number is up, it is up.

Some may say, 'He lost his life because he was foolish and rode that motorcycle'. But what else can we do? Stay in our houses and never go out, never expose ourselves to any of the dangers of the world? For me, to live without riding would not be much of a life.

I don't intend to just stay on this earth waiting for my last day. I am going to do the things I love during the time I have. You have to weigh the risks versus the benefits to you. If it is worth it to you, then take reasonable steps to put the odds in your favor as much as you can. Live to ride, ride to live.

Sorry about your friend,I know the feeling I've lost a few friends also on bikes. Most had accidents with someone turning left in front of them. One friend got T-boned by a old man backing out from his garage into the street didn't even look, killed my friend on the spot, she didn't even have a chance.Still sad about that one.

Sorry for the loss, the poor kids will not have their daddy anymore, thats the worst of it. We all lose freinds and family throughout our lives. There is nothing we can say or do as mere mortals to fix this. We can pray for strength and wisdom, and maybe try harder to be thankful for what we have for our short and unpredictable time we have here. This makes petty bickering all the more senseless and time wasting. Iam not preahing to you guys as much as just talking to myself, I need it as much as anyone.

Thanks for all the replys guys ,its good to know that there still is careing people in this world. His name was Mike and the accident happened in Huntington Mass .I worked with Mike and we rode together he was also an emt/firefighter in his town.
Thanks again on the replys Bill
