rear brake arm

bought a swing arm with a 4 inch extension (from a memeber) just wondering what some of you other guys have done about the rear brake arm mine will be 4 inches to short checked with charles at S&T he doesnt have any thing also did a search and came up empty I will take any sugestions Thanks
 
As someone who's not at all interested in extended swingarms I must ask...

Why would a swingarm not come with that? Good luck.

In the meantime you could always make one.

its a stock swing arm with 4 inch ext welded on to it then repainted so originaly it did come with one thats 4 inches to short

Cut the tab off the swing arm and relocate it!
Or cut the brake arm and extend it!

Just as long as you have a good welder nearby!
 
thought about cutting the brake arm but its hollow and aluminum dont know if they could match it up at a welding shop

You can find one on ebay, to use for the section !
 
Not a complicated process to extend the arm. Your extended arm will not look factory until you smooth the welds and clearcoat the arm when finished. You could also eliminate the arm completely as long as you bolt a block of aluminum underneath the caliper to stop it from rotating. All of this of course involves a buddy that works at a metal fab shop ;)

Not too bad of a company.
Had some clearence issues with a chain gaurd I bought from them. Never got resolved, other pieces were good.
 
thanks guys I just sent a pm to suzuki4life he has another brake bar so I can piece them together. cant wait to get it done
