Is the rear brake on the Busa always a bit on the soft side... or do i need to bleed mine HAHAH...

meant to ask this before the bad news earlier today..

All bikes have rear brakes that are not great.
I would bleed mine if you have the time.
There are 2 bleed nipples on the back caliper of a Gen 1
Good luck!

thanks... didnt wanna mess with brake fluid if i didnt need to, but sounds like its better to do it, rather than worry about it...

Does the busa only have the one master cylinder up front for the brakes, or does the rear have its own ?

Rear of it's own, usually located just above the right calf, And, Yes the back brakes feel very wooden if you ask me.

Compared the the front the rear will always feel very soft and weak. Remember, like 75% of your braking force is in the front.

My rear brakes felt soft until I put a Galfer SS line on and had the fluid flushed out and replaced. What was the bad news that you got today?

I have a braided line on my rear brake, feels pretty solid to me. But then, I seldom ever use it except for parking lots, and for a parking brake at stop lights.

im a classic rear brake + front brake user...

was taught to use rear brake just before front brake to settle bike in MSF... and generally, i like the feeling of braking that way anyhow, as it feels less "nose heavy"

i use the rear brake for light trail braking...

in general, i loves me some rear brake...

Here:
Best to flush them both out IMO
