Rear Brake switch adjustment and other stuff

This is kind of a no-brainer but easy to overlook-after adjusting the rear brake lever down be sure and check the switch. I moved my lever down about an inch or so and the switch was always on. Easy to adjust but easy to forget too. Also as per a previous posting about the throttle position sensor, I checked mine at 1100 RPM and the bar was at the top. A tiny adjustment got it back to the middle. I also noticed that increasing the revs sent the bar back to the top which I assume must be normal. What exactly is this doing? Affecting off idle injection program selection? I also was having a look at that airbox flap. I started the engine sans air filter and noticed that at least in neutral the flap seemed to pop open at around 2500 RPM and didn't seem to be obstructing airflow much when open.
