No offense intended if I ask what could be viewed as a no-brainer AND no big deal if that's what it is. We're not all motorcycle experts around here (I'm sure not)...
The hump has two little L-shaped white clips on the side that faces your rear when you're in the saddle. There are little openings inside the seat area that these clips have to slide under to fit correctly. If you have one little L-shaped white clip in the opening for it and the other one between the seat area of the fairing and the clip (ie not low enough to fit in the opening), the pod will close and snap down even though it is technically not on correctly.
In short, look at the underside of the pod and, from the rear of the bike (behind the taillight) look under the fairing towards the saddle. You should see the openings. This might help if there is actually nothing wrong with the bike.
If there is something wrong after you look at this, then you should DEFINITELY go back to your dealer...it's Suzuki's responsibility to provide you with the correct working equipment.
Good luck!
