Rear spring removal?

Is it possible to remove the rear spring on the stock shock? Can someone tell me how to remove the spring from the shock?

yes... remove the shock... loosen the preload collars on the one end far enough to allow slack in spring and the lock collar(the other end)....remove the locking snap ring hiding in between the two pieces that make up the collar assy.and disassemble the whole mess by sliding all the parts off that end(the end opposite the reservoir)
