Rear stand

i would like to start a weekend project and make myself some stands any1 know of a plan of how to make one or should i just wing it?

I have been having the same thoughts. I think I might start to wing it myself. I'm thinking angle iron. With just a few welds and some luck, maybe I can make something. I'm worried about the weight of it though.

Ugly but strong. And I don't need help to get it on safely because I lift it from the left side of the bike.

Slide onto the swingarm spools. I cut those from bar stock on the lathe.

I used 3/4 electrical conduit, and a pipe bender, borrowed a friends Suzuki rear stand and patterened it after that. Painted it Viper red, I have an 04LE. Used some stamped steel for the spools mounts. looks just like the factory one.
