Rear Tire Question

I've been debating with friend the diffrence between 190/50 17 vs 190/55 17.
If I go to a 190/55 is this like adding +1 or -1 on the rear sprocket?

-1 you can notice the difference in low end.

Just switched back and I had to change my speedohealer again. But I love the way it feels in the corners.
