Rectifier problems?

We took our bikes on a camping trip last weekend. We were headed north I-5 towards Canada(Birch Bay).I have always wanted to go to Smokey Point Cycle Barn, you know us junkies always have to check out the shops along the way.Very long story short we stopped to call to get directions and it was almost 90 so I turned off my bike.well then it would'nt start.3 mo. old mind you this could not be happening. We bumped it started and the service Dept. actually said they would try and fix it that day. They were hoping it was just the battery.4and 1/2 hrs later they told me I was going to have to leave it.The charging system was not working.

Our kids were behind us in the car with the dogs, and we got to ride2up the rest of the way on a boulevard S-50. A lot more power than you would think.Anyway,it turned out to be the recitifier. The best part was I actually talked them into getting the part off the 06 Busa on the showroom floor!!!Otherwise I would have to leave her 75 miles from homefor at least a week.As it was we picked her up on the way home on Sunday.
Let me tell you when this thing was burning up I though my butt was on FIRE!

Glad you got it fixed! I wouldn't want to leave my bike at the dealer and feel so close, but yet so far away.

leaving her for 21/2 days was bad enough I was having separation issues. I have to admit the dealership was really great.Getting a bike in the middle of summer on the weekend I'm lucky I got it back this month!
