hello friends,
i got motorvated and pulled another bike out from under the tarp. a 2004 cbr 600 f4i with 1500mi on it, wheelied only once:laugh:. i got all the plastic off and it looks like i'll need a few parts. not a bad lookin start though.

i am going to make it a stunt bike and mount it on a trailer/wheelie mechine. like a carnival ride in my back yard. going to mount a cage on it for riding off the trailer too. it just seemed like a neat way to have fun and maybe make some money.

i really know nothing about the whole stunt world :poke: how about yall? got any tips, websites, ideas in general??

That thing will wheelie awesome all day stock. What do really want to do with it? If you wanna parking lot stunt, gearing makes it much easier to go slow, otherwise you're cookin the back brake to try to keep it slow. I don't know exact teeth numbers for the sprockets, but a rear in the 50's is fun for small areas. Goin down in the front you lose alot of torque from small motors like that.
As said, a 12 oclock bar, and the full belly cage. It's gonna get dropped, and a stator/clutch cover or handle bar will end your day. The 12 bar will help you from looping it, but not completely prevent it:laugh: you want one on a stunt bike.
Rear brake modded to handbrake over the clutch is advanced, and kinda cheating. A shorter clutch/brake lever allows you to two finger them and still hang on. Just cut and file the ones on it. It's a stuntbike, it's gonna get abused, don't spend any extra on it!
Also, clip on dirtbike style handlebars are a preference, not a need, learn like it is, keep it cheap!

"keep it cheep"
my thoughts exactly.
i already have a list of parts i need to make and buy. 1st thing off im going to go get a book for the thing. think its missing the stator, the flywheel? around it need replaced as it looks bashed up, cover is missing/broken, other than that im guessing it needs some gas and a new battery. i got it given to me by a gal that bought it for her boyfriend. he rode it for a while, then tried his 1st wheelie and flopped it on its side. he broke up with her. she GAVE me the bike. :cheerleader: free stunt bike :cheerleader: i am going to make the cage and 12bar. bought a pipe bender from harbor freight. havent got to play with it yet but it looks like it will work.
i joined stuntlife, they think very highly of the F4i as a stuntbike. looks like i got luckey there. For now im just lurking around e-bay lookin for cheep parts.
thanks for the site info :beerchug:

Yeah the F4I has a greta stunt rep, as well as the F4, F3, CBR900RR, 929, 954. All these bikes are just made right for it. The have great balance points, and are wheelie machines.
And for free! Ya can't beat that! Hurry up, get to it. Can't wait to see how it turns out, and what you think of it.:beerchug:

Wonder if Jessica Maine is going to stop by and offer some words of wisdom... Either on the build or even how to stunt! lol

Look for a different seat on flea bay, the banana seat isn't always good for stunting. I don't recall if it'll take the other sub frame too.

Build a good cage, 12 bar, rear sub cage with bike pegs, add a t valve and a rear hand brake, build a tail saver( metal plate that goes in the rise between the front seat and pasenger pillion, take the passenger seat cut a hole dead center in it to use as a foot hold.

Leave the front plastics off, just use an off road light or foglight to keep it legal.

Probably lookin at a 60 tooth sprocket.

That';; get you pretty darn far down the stunting road.

+1 especially the subframe

:poke: now wouldn't that would be cool.

i got a pipe bender but the dies were not in the box..so after a call to india, and a weeks wait, i have a complete 16 ton pipe bender.

time to go get some pipe. think i might build a cage for the Buss while im at it.

UPDATE
i have networked with the folks in my neck of the woods and made some friends! i now have a friend that races midget cars, and guess what! he has a couple f4i engines sitting around he is willing to let me grab some parts off of.:cheerleader: free stator, cover, and what ever else i need for free  and i bet if i bribe him with coors he will even come on out and help me get it set up.
its good to have friends:beerchug:
