reinstalling exhaust

Hey,when reinstalling the gaskets which side goes in first? The side with the two small notches or the opposite side?

I don't think it matters. I think the 'tabs' are there to 'hold' the gaskets in place while you install the headers. Otherwise, the gaskets would just fall out.
