Removing 08' rear shovel...

Haven't gotten into it yet but it looks like the whole piece can be removed but what about the light for the plate and where do you mount the plate once removed?

I've read you can take the mounting brackets from the rear reflectors and use them to mount your license plate back there, but you might need to drill some holes in the license plate. As for the light, I have no idea.

Yes you use the rear reflector brackets. They mount in the stock rear holes from the fender, using the reflector screws. Then fit the plate up and mark the holes to be drilled in the reflector brackets not the plate. For the plate light I used those new license plate led bolt lights in dennis kirk part no. 21-2370, it looks great. Just use the stock wires for the plate bolt lights.

you go kieth...I am actually considering re-installing my reflectors all the way around..too many dumb-arses around here.

my bike seems to get progressively closer to stock every month...lol

just need to sell my exhaust...haha
