Removing front reflectors

Just making a quick check before I remove the front reflectors... they are bolted to the front calipers. So I'm curious if I can just pull the bolt, remove the reflector and re-install the bolt. Or does the reflector itself act as a spacer for the bolt, thus perhaps requiring a washer to take it's place?

I just removed the reflector and replaced the bolt. Haven't had a problem.
