Removing fuel rail on Gen 2

Attempted to remove my fuel rail to get to the injectors and clean them. The bolts that hold them on are very soft and even with putting very firm pressure on them I couldn't get them to budge. Tried it with the engine both cold and warm and no difference. Second strategy would be to use a hammer type impact driver on them but I am concerned since the mounts are made of plastic.

Any tips or tricks to removing these screws without screwing them or the fuel rails up?
