Greetings,

When removing the sprocket cover is it necessary to do the following?

1) drain coolant.
2) bleed the clutch master cyclinder after removal of the assembly.

Seems to me you could just remove the clutch assembly without bleeding.

no need to bleed the clutch and no need to drain coolant. unless you are talking about that resevoir bottle. you can dump that out if you want, just fill it back to the line when you reinstall.
 
+1 - Yup - don't need to do any of that. You can even move the coolant overflow bottle outta the way and pull the sprocket cover
 
if you're putting a billet cover on you will need to bleed the slave cylinder. If you're just removing the cover to get at your front sprocket then Omar has the answer you require.
