removing stock undertail assy

Guys and Gals,

When you removed your stock undertail assembly, did you cut a notch in the hole where the brake line passes through. Or did you remove the line from the master cylinder or resivoir and then remove the assembly?

I cut a notch, that way if I needed to take it off again I could.

With the notch cut, does the brake line rub on anything that the 'un notched' hole would prevent?

I did mine like March of last year and haven't noticed any rubbing or danger. The notch was at the top so as far as the hole goes where the line goes through didn't change.
