Removing upper fairing?

It is going to all come off as one piece. You will have to pull the side plastics off and then you will be able to get the front off. Good luck, and take your time. Make sure you seperate all your bolts that way you know where they go when you put it back together.

TIME and PATIENCE are your friend!!!!

Yes, remove the sides panels first, then the inners around the instrument cluster, remove the bolts for the windscreen, pull out the grommets, then the windscreen will slide out, remove the mirrors and the 2 push pins that hold the under shroud to the under side of the nose. then there are a couple screws on each side then gently pry out the upper part around the mirror bracket, should come off as one piece.

hope that all makes sense, but let me know if you need more clarification, I just had all the plastics off of mine but did not take pics, i will take mine off again mid next week so let me know if you need pics or not.

It's much easier to remove the entire upper fairing with headlight, mirrors, windshield, etc in tack. Only two bolts to remove where the fairing stay bolts to the frame, unplug the wiring harness and slip that puppy off. Then you can easily get to every nut, bolt and pin that assembles the unit. Once you do it a couple times you'll have it off and sitting on the floor in 15 minutes. :beerchug:
