Creekboy sent me a pair of front lenses this week, (very cool by the way)
Here is my dilema..got the side fairing off, no problem. Can't quite get to the bottom screw to remove the darn thing...the ram air duct is in the way..
Do I have to remove the front fairing to get at them? If so, what is the correct procedure to do so?
I don't wanna go on my ride next month with a broken blinker, the scratches are bad enough....

HEEEELLLPPP!

any info would be greatly appreciated!!

I replaced mine while I had the nose off to put in the HID. I think you are gonna have to take it off.

It's not particularly difficult.

yea, kinda looks like you are right....I think I am going to watch a pro do it first, next time I'll do it on my own.
I went ahead and buttoned it back up.
thanks tho!

I just put in clear lenses and I didn't take off the nose. I took out the black plastic piece that's directly under the nose, it's held in by about 6 plastic snappy thingys that you poke in the center. Then I took out the 2 black plastic pieces that go up by the gauges on each side, under the handle bars. Now you should see the lenses really good and will have easy access to the top screws of the lenses. The bottom screws are a beoch. I ended up taking the little phillips screw piece out of socket set and sticking it in the screw and taking a 7mm open ended wrench(probably needed to be a 6mm, but didn't have one)and wrenched till it came out. Not real quick that way, but got it done. Just take your time and don't scratch any of the plastic pieces getting them in and out, especially around the gauges. Brian

i did what tulbusa did... took off the under piece and the innner panels. when i put the clear signals in, and the HID... saves alot of time IMO.

I did the same thing as TulBusa, but I removed the left mirror and pulled the nose loose on the left side, I could get the signals loose, but I couldn't get it past the ram air tube.

THe right side came out a lot easier.

I used a 1/4" drive socket and used a phillips bit to get the lower screw out on the right, on the left, I used an extremely long screwdriver, if I remember right.
