Rerouting Fast Idle adjuster.

Hey all, I just installed Soupy's 1 inch risers on the scooter. They feel great and look pretty good for the practicality of them. But when I installed them, I noticed that the fast idle wire is a little tight against the other wires when I turn the handle bars all the way to the left. (Which is how I always keep it when on the kickstand.) Is it possible to unbolt the cable from the left hand grip and just reroute the wire behind the other two wires that it's pulling on? I don't think I need to reroute the whole thing under the tank or anything that drastic. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Yes just rerout it to the left of the headstock in between the two tank hold down bolts..

No offense, but you must not have read my whole message, I don't want to go under the tank. I just want to know if I can unbolt it from the left handle bar. I did a search, and one guy said that he had to unbolt it from the throttle body, I don't want to do that!

Yes from the handle bar you can unbolt it.. Thats where I unbolted mine from and then installed it with the new routing.. what ever routing works for your taste.. you have to take the control apart and you'll see how its attached.

Sorry hope this helps..

DR1300R, you wouldn't happen to know how the cable attaches onto the adjuster lever do you. Is it kind of like the hump release? Or am I going in the wrong direction with this?

The instructions with my 1 1/2" risers from deadhead stated to simply cut the bracket that holds the cable. I just unlock my steering and turn it straight to crank the bike. You might notice the front brake handle hitting the windscreen as well when turned hard left. Neither is an issue for me just something to be aware of.
