I have some 225mph reverse glow gauges that Ive been wanting to install but I have no idea how...

When I took off the whole cluster I couldnt figure out how to get the old gauges off without cutting or ripping them, and even if I figure that out I dont know where all the wires go that came with it???

It has an adjustable switch where you can set it to blue or green reverse glow.. Anybody have some good advice or maybe a picture walk-through of the install?? Thanks a lot!!

they sound like speed hut ones,

if they are....then you just take the screws out of the old ones and place the new ones CAREFULLY on top of the old ones and do the screws up again

then when you feed the wires through they should plug straight into the harness

with your nose cone off if you look inside the nose near the right indicator you should see a plug that is not being used for anything - this is where you can get power and earth from pretty easily then test it and when it works - put it all back together again

you might want to take your battery terminals off when you are doing any electrical work, and seeing as the power and earth are on the RIGHT side of the bike and the harness' are all on the LEFT side you may want to rune some longer cable on the right just so you dont get caught short when you put it all back together

this is all considering that i bought a speed hut for an 04 busa - it should be similar for most

if i can do it first go then ANYONE can - oh yeh dont try and pull the start and finish rests for the guages off just put the guages carefully over EVERYTHING, all i needed to undo was the screws on each face.

i did forget - the unused harness on the right side has a brown wire and a black wire - you'll know when you find it you'll be like "holy cr@p, that was just sitting there waiting for me to plug my new gauges into"

good luck

If you got the 220 gauges then you might have to cut off the speed needle stop I just cut it off with a knife . Also before you put it back together , make sure that the needle doesn't rub . I had to trim the bottom of the short side of the needle
